K had her fourth game on Saturday and it was a hard one. The other team was really good and creamed us. By half-time we had all our players on the field against five of their players and it still wasn't getting any better. By the last quarter the other teams goal posts were only about 5 feet apart and they were still making goal after goal. Our team was only able to make one goal the entire game. K was devastated she didn't make any goals and couldn't steal the ball. She did a great job hustling down field and getting in front of the other kids, she just had a hard time stealing the ball away. She left the field crying two times. We did our best to make her feel better and realize she was doing a good job, you just don't always win your games but she didn't seem to grasp what we were telling her.
Auntie got to come down and watch her play which made K very happy. After the game we went to Red Robin for lunch and visited. Auntie had to go home after, but we had a good time hanging out with her.
That smile turned to a scowl after half time wish I had
gotten a picture of the scowl. If looks could kill...
I think if they had taken him out, our team would have
done better. K was really good at chasing him down field,
she just couldn't steal the ball from him.
some games are just rough! it has happened to me too!
