Day of Love

The girls had no school on Valentine's Day this year. They had parties the day before in their classrooms. I made bags for all the kids in L's kindergarten class that they then decorated. They exchanged valentines and had some snacks.
K's class was encouraged to make their own valentine's boxes and brought them in to show off during the week. K just used the one she made with her dad last year. They exchanged valentines, played a game of valentine battleship, and enjoyed goodies dipped in a chocolate fountain.
I helped the girls make their valentines this year. L picked out one that had a fishbowl printed on a piece of paper that says "I'm glad we are in the same school" which you put into a plastic bag with Swedish fish. K picked out a matchbox filled with M&M's. I found a template and helped her cut and fold all the matchboxes. I also made a S'mores mix out of cupcake flavored goldfish, M&M's and mini marshmallows then put into blue pint jars to give to the girl's teachers.
M took Valentine's Day off from work and we hung out together. We exchanged gifts in the morning. I got the girls some yummy smelling body stuff from Bath & Body Works while dad got them some chocolate, jerky and soda. It was a nice relaxing day with the family.
