ReplyDeleteI miss the shoe tree! Was that the one on Highway 20 between Burns and Ontario? I have fond memories of looking for that tree on our trips from Oregon to Utah. I'm going to copy that pic for my records, since I never thought to take one for myself. I have to say, it's increased in pairs of shoes since the last time I saw it!
ReplyDeleteOkay, I take back my question. Mark looked at the pic and told me that it was not the same tree. Oh well, it brought a smile to my face. If anyone in Oregon wants to see a shoe tree, there was one between Burns and Ontario on Highway 20!

This tree was in Nevada somewhere. However, M looked online and apparently there are many shoe trees around the U.S. Not really sure what the attraction is or how it gets started, but interesting none the less.
