Three Fingered Jack-First Attempt

On May 30, M took a brief backpacking trip up Three Fingered Jack near Santiam Pass. There was 12 feet of snow there but he was able to hike on top of it because it was crusted over. He endured snow, rain and hail hiking 13 miles the first day. He had hoped to hike up and over the mountain but it was too hazardous so he had to turn around and camped at Square Lake which wasn't far from his truck. He was able to get some spectacular pictures of his hike.

On the left is North Sister and Middle Sister.
On the right is Mount Washington.
It's like, snow..and trees..and stuff.
You can see the tops of smaller trees poking through the snow here.
Three Fingered Jack from where he turned around.
Black Butte and a small frozen lake
(Martin Lake, maybe. Or it could be Summit Lake).
Stream feeding Square Lake.
M standing by Square Lake.
His campsite at Square Lake..
The doe walked right through his campsite. There was a buck further off
that he couldn't see but heard. He kept making noises at the doe
presumably because M was getting too close to her.
I love this photo of Square Lake.
Lost Lake.
This is a great photo of Lost Lake, I love
the field leading to the lake.
